Technical Details

In 2006 TNR Gold Corp.'s joint venture partner, Tenke Mining Corp.*, signed a comprehensive Investment Agreement with VALE and its wholly owned subsidiaries Rio Doce Argentina S.A. and Compania Minera Latino-Americana Limitada providing VALE with an option to take a controlling interest in Tenke's holdings in TNR Northern Properties. VALE is one of the largest, fastest growing diversified mining companies in the world, with an increasing exploration presence in both Chile and Argentina

The TNR Northern Properties consist of a package of mineral rights, totaling approximately 41,000 hectares, known as Solitario 17, Ritsuko, Ranchillos - Rio Blanco, La Brea, Caserones and Cateo 26 mining leases. The TNR Northern Properties, along with the Batidero property, are part of a large, strategic land position held by the two companies in this under-explored area of Argentina. On adjacent projects, Vicuna and Josemaria, Tenke has made several new significant copper/gold mineral discoveries.

* Tenke Mining Corp has recently merged with Lundin Mining and have transferred all South American assets to Suramina Resources Inc.
